Survey Closing April 5th!

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well! The Backer Kit pledge manager surveys will be closing on April 5th so we can get all the orders finalized. You should make any last minute adjustments or additions before then. Once the survey has been closed, I'll charge your payment method for anyone who hasn't already paid via PayPal (which basically just leaves credit/debit cards). You can still update your shipping addresses after April 5th if you need as I'll be locking the shipping addresses later on.

For the survey, to recap, you should have received an email from the email address [email protected] with the alias that will show up as krakenships Miniatures that looks something like this:

Make sure to check your email spam if you have not seen this yet. If you can not find any emails from this about the krakenships Miniatures Kickstarter, please send me a message so I can try and get that resolved.

If you do not fill out your survey, I will not have the miniatures you wish to receive or an address to ship them to. I will continue to do my best to reach out to those who have not finished their survey, but you will not receive your miniatures without completing it!

Molds Are Nearly Ready

The molds for the miniatures are nearly ready! Once they are completed, the creation and assembly process for the miniatures will begin! Here is part of one of the molds that shows three of the elephas miniatures being prepped. Metal molds will be made from these. Once the metal molds are made, the plastic injection will begin and we'll be cruising right along.

Figure Molds & Pledge Manager

Figure Molds

The molds for casting the figure pieces are now ready to be made and are queued up. Once the molds have been created, the figure casting will begin and we'll be well on our way to getting your miniatures to you!

There's still a good amount of behind the scenes stuff that I'll be working on like the packaging and getting the SKUs and all that fun stuff sorted out for each miniature. I'll also be prepping all of the shipping logistics for fulfillment.

Pledge Manager Survey Closing Soon

The pledge manager will remain open for taking surveys and changing/adding to your orders for about another month, then it will be closing to finalize order counts and what not. When the pledge manager survey closes, those who have not already paid will have their payment method charged. Shipping addresses will still be able to be changed if needed for a couple months after that.

Progress - Miniature Molds

Progress Update - Miniature Molds

With the holidays now over and a new year has begun, we're starting to make progress! All of the figure models have been finalized for the mold making process which will begin soon! This is the first major step. From there, the creation of the miniatures and then assembly and packaging will take place. Finally, the miniatures will be shipped out to a fulfillment center for the last leg of their journey to be shipped to you! As each of these steps is under way or completed, I'll let you know!

Reminder - Complete Your Survey

Just about 90% of all the backers have completed their survey for which miniatures they would like based on their pledge tier and all that. If you haven't completed your survey, please do so as soon as possible so I can get accurate numbers for the miniatures and for shipping purposes. Happy New Year!

I hope everyone's holidays were enjoyable! Another year brings new miniatures. We're nearing the creation of the molds for each of the miniatures from this Kickstarter. There are just a few small revisions to make everything come out smoothly and soon production will start!

First Mini Samples

Mini Samples!

The first samples of the miniatures have arrived! I've gone over them and there are a few small fixes to be made that I've already went over and sent off to be addressed. The samples are 3D printed and are super fragile, but they show insanely good detail which are then used to make the actual molds

Surveys

If you still haven't filled out your survey for which miniatures you would like, please do so at your earliest convivence! This will help with the logistics for when we get closer to actually making the miniatures. If you've chosen to use PayPal for payment, your payment will be charged when you check out. If you are using a credit card, your card will be charged later on when I charge all the cards at once. I will make a few announces to give everyone a heads up prior to this. After everyone's payment methods have been charged, the next step will be waiting to ship the miniatures out where I will then lock shipping addresses right before the miniatures ship out, but this is a ways out and you still have plenty of time to change your shipping address if needed. More updates about all these details to come.

I will be taking a long awaited break from both my day job and krakenships for at least week or so to relax, as this year has been crazy. I'll be back at it first thing at the start of January.
