'Smoke Test' Surveys Completed!

For those few backers who have already taken the survey as part of the initial 'smoke test', the shipping has now been fixed - some backers were not being charged shipping while others were being charged double shipping. Please take a look at the pledge manager again to verify the shipping has been properly fixed and matches the shipping cost from the main Kickstarter page for your country.

Pledge Manager Time!

Soon, you’ll receive an email with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via your Kickstarter email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before I close the surveys and get the final counts. I will give plenty of warning before closing the surveys!

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page here.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support here.

Late Backer Access

Lastly, the pledge manager will allow anyone who missed the campaign to grab these miniatures at the cheaper pricing and world wide shipping! This is not for campaign backers as you have access via your survey through your email - Late Backer Access

I've sent out the "smoke test" to 20 random backers. So far there were some small issues that I've noticed that I have corrected. Shipping costs right now are being charged twice for some backers and needs to be corrected, but once this is resolved, I'll send out the rest of the surveys and announce it!

Pledge Manager

Once Thanksgiving has passed (to give everyone, including myself a nice tiny break), I will begin the process below:

Here's how the pledge manager is going to work in the next coming weeks/months. For this campaign, we will be using BackerKit as the pledge manager. I'll first send out something called a Smoke Test which will send out the pledge manager surveys to about 5% of backers. This will help find any issues with the pledge manager if there are any and from there any issues will be fixed asap. Once that's complete, I'll be sending out the rest of the pledge manager surveys to everyone shortly after.

Pledge Manager Survey

The pledge manager survey will ask you which sets you want from your main pledge reward. So if you chose the 2 sets pledge reward, the survey will go through 2 questions, each asking which miniature set you would like from the Centaur, Elephas, Minotaur, and Voludeek sets. If you need to edit a survey question or need it reset for any reason, this can be done within the pledge manager or by requesting it.

Pledge Manager Add-ons

Once you've chosen your main pledge reward sets, you will then be able to access the pledge manager's add-ons. This is where you will select all of you Kickstarter add-ons like the Miniature Set or Individual Miniature add-ons. Everyone who purchased an add-on from the Kickstarter campaign will automatically have the proper credit in their account. You can use this credit to select whatever add-ons you'd like. You may also add more additional miniatures or sets.

Below is an example of backer who chose TWO Individual Miniature add-ons during the campaign and has 2 individual minis worth of credit applied to their account.

Pledge Manager Payment

Once we near final stages of production, I'll lock everyone's orders in the pledge manager. Once the orders have been locked, I will charge everyone's payment method and wait for those to clear before the shipping phase begins.

You will be able to change and add to your orders up until I lock them. I will lock the pledge manager close to the initial shipping phase. I'll give out plenty of warning before this happens. 

Pledge Manager Shipping

The pledge manager will be used to gather everyone's shipping addresses which is where the miniatures will be shipped to once they are completed. You will also pay for shipping here as mentioned in the Kickstarter campaign. The shipping cost will still remain the same static price that was listed in the Kickstarter campaign depending on where you live - same goes for 'friendly-shipping'.

You will be able to update your shipping addresses if you need to up until I lock them. I'll give out plenty of warning before locking the ability to update your shipping address. Once shipping addresses have been locked, your miniatures will shortly be on their way to you!

Pledge Manager Store

Lastly, the pledge manager will allow anyone who missed out on the campaign to have an opportunity to grab some of these miniatures as well. The pledge manager store will be linked in future updates.

Thank you for making our project a reality! A few things need to happen before I can kick off production and fulfillment.

Here's a quick rundown:

First, Kickstarter needs to transfer over the funds so I have the money to make the rewards (this can take up to two weeks).

Second, I have to find out which miniatures you want and where I need to ship them. I’ll send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information soon.

I'll give you a heads-up before I send the survey so that you can watch for it. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since I need this information to process your rewards.

If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after I send the surveys out.)

The pledge manager helps me save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.

We Did It!

292% Funded with 4 Stretch Goals Reached!!

We've done it, we're funded and unlocked the 5 Centaurs, the Elephas, Minotaurs, AND the Voludeek!

The Tessera and Goblins will be along in another campaign in the near future - no dates for that as of yet.

What Now?

First up will be the Pledge Manager. In about 2 weeks I'll push out the Pledge Manager with details and instructions on how that will all work. There will be an update before the Pledge Manager update that will give a quick overview of what the Pledge Manager will include as well (all unlocked and previous krakenships miniatures).

After that,  the miniatures will start their long journey to being manufactured - with this campaign having to be re-launched in later in the year than I wanted, the manufacturing time will be a bit slow for the first 2-4 months due to all of the holidays coming up. This won't affect the overall timeline however. I'll keep everyone updated here on the campaign updates with each step as always.
